Let's Catch Up!

 Wow how time flies!

Keto did not work out for Elijah, at all. That dang keto flu just did not want to go away and the joy in Elijah was just gone. So we said goodbye to Keto and made the decision to go back to a formula that had been used in the past that he did well on. He almost immediately perked back up and has been his best self! I love seeing that smile!!!

So many things have happened over the last few months. Plenty of travel back and forth to Texas for doctors appointments. Visits from his biological grandma. Baseball games. Sitting like a big kid at the kitchen table! We traveled to New Mexico for my nephews graduation from high school and got to take Elijah out on a boat! I was a nervous momma but he had fun. We have had friends come in and out of our lives. My childhood best friend got to come and meet the kids for the first time! We let him try lemon meringue pie and he absolutely loved it! It has been a whirlwind of adventure but so fun!

We have been having a house built that will be accessible for Elijah and any other future medical kiddos that may come. It has been a very patience testing process. I definitely struggle with that because I am ready for it to be done yesterday lol. I don't like the waiting. Every time I have to climb the stairs out of the basement for food or to answer the door etc, I just think of how I look forward to not having to climb the stairs anymore. I look forward to not worrying about going to the kitchen and leaving Elijah in the basement. He will easily be able to be everywhere!

We are gearing up this week to have photos taken of our current home and get it on the market. I must be a glutton for punishment because while we are frantically preparing the house, I also have been having to plan our next Texas trip. He has to be in Texas for his appointment next week and I wanted to take advantage of the time so I planned a little mini vacation for me and the kids. Unfortunately the hubby can't get off work. I am so excited to take the kids on this adventure. Professional baseball game (GO RANGERS!), Morgan's Wonderland, Sea World, and then end the trip relaxing at the beach. Its going to be amazing. Hardest thing is going to be figuring out how to pack the van efficiently so we have all the things we need (Elijah comes with a LOT of baggage). This is the downside to having the rear entry short cut modified van. No place for luggage if we take his wheelchair. Luckily we had a family donate a stroller (yall its pink!) that can fold. I found a pretty cool harness to put Elijah in the regular seat instead of his bulky carseat that has no head support. I really hope to be able to take his Josi Stroller (Make-A-Wish for the win) since it has the tires that can handle the beach. My tetris skills are going to be put to the test.
